Program Analyst

Summary:

The Garretson Resolution Group builds programs to identify and resolve healthcare liens in settlements involving physical injuries. Our Programs help plaintiffs protect their settlements, maintain their health insurance, and provide financial support to government and commercial health insurance programs.

The Program Analyst is responsible for investigating and analyzing healthcare claims and health plan contracts to determine negotiation and resolution activities. The Program Analyst understands the complex requirements of mass tort resolution programs and ensures cases are processed according to the performance standards.   

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze healthcare claims and health plan contracts to determine negotiation strategies.
  • Negotiate lien amounts with health insurers and recovery agents based on multiple factors including medical treatment unrelated to the settlement and the health plan’s statutory or contractual rights to recover.
  • Follow up with health insurers and recovery agents to secure missing information, resolve issues with the recovery claims, and other key tasks.
  • Organize daily workflow to push cases forward through the lien resolution process according to performance benchmarks.
  • Establish clear expectations and productive relationships with health insurers, recovery agents, and Garretson’s Program Teams.
  • Provide Garretson’s Program Teams with effective and timely updates on cases

Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel including sorting, filtering, and analyzing large amounts of data.
  • Comfortable with and skilled in handling case disputes and hard-line lien negotiations with recovery agents.
  • Highly accountable and results-driven.
  • Strong communication skills, written, oral and listening.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must proactively communicate with stakeholders ensuring clear expectations are established with regard to services and performing within those expectations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
