Medical Record Review Analyst

Summary: The Legal Document Analyst performs moderately complex tasks by reviewing evidence submitted from Class Members pursuant to a class action settlement agreement. Such evidence may include legal and medical documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently reviews orientation modules and takes personal responsibility for learning the materials and use of materials as a resource during the review process.
  • Understands the basics and complexities of the GRG settlement administration process.
  • Provides legal and medical documentation review support and implements program protocols for designated class action settlement.
  • Accurately and efficiently enters information into software applications of evidence findings in accordance with program protocols.
  • Works as a team member to meet critical weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Communicates pro-actively and collaboratively with project leadership.
  • Regularly participate in meetings and is dependable as an internal resource.
  • Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening.
  • Ability to reason independently and recommend specific solutions in performance of legal and medical document reviews.
  • Recognize when processes can be enhanced and convey this information to project leadership.
  • Able to adapt to constant changing environment.
  • The Medical Review Analyst possesses strong analytical skills
  • Assists in other duties as assigned by their managers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Recent J.D. graduate with state law license (preferred)
  • Registered nurse with medical review experience (e.g. HEDIS) (preferred)
  • Medical and/or Healthcare background
  • Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, and active listening.)
  • Must be teachable and coachable.
  • Strong internal and external client service skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, research and writing skills.
  • Extensive problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Proficient time management skills and ability to shift priorities as required.
