Analyst - Medicare Operations

Summary:

The Garretson Resolution Group builds programs to identify and resolve healthcare liens in settlements involving physical injuries. Our Programs help plaintiffs protect their settlements, maintain their health insurance, and provide financial support to government and commercial health insurance programs.

The Program Analyst will be responsible for processing Medicare lien tasks in a timely manner by utilizing the system, processes and tools provided within this position. They will be tasked with continuously improving the tasks and systems through their experience and knowledge.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Timely and efficiently evaluates, analyzes and resolves Medicare liens
  • Effectively communicates with management and internal clients to ensure compliance and quality metrics are met or exceeded
  • Reviews cases, obtains necessary information to proceed with resolution process
  • Reviews audit results and proceeds with appropriate action (dispute or appeal) of non-related items
  • Properly uses case management system to maintain all case related details
  • Understands and keeps current on the procedures necessary to resolve Medicare liens
  • Uses creative ability and critical thinking skills to identify exceptions, resolve problems, and make sound decisions in a timely manner
  • Evaluates final lien to provide appropriate post-demand remedies when applicable
  • Takes initiative to see tasks through from start to finish 
  • Maintains information in a method that meets departmental procedures
  • Regularly participates in meetings and is dependable as an internal resource on assigned projects
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Paralegal Certificate preferred, or relevant experience
  • 5+ years case management experience required
  • Must be a self-starter with great attention to detail
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Must be able to orchestrate large volumes of data and meet critical deadlines
