Intermediate Application Developer

Developers at GRG design, build, and maintain complex software of all types and through all phases of the SDLC. They are active contributors, identifying opportunities to improve processes and align technology to get the job done faster and more accurately. What You'll do:

  • Understand Garretson’s strategic and competitive position and deliver software that is recognized best in the industry.
  • Develop, test, debug, maintain, and document web-based applications.
  • Adhere to standards and best practices to deliver high quality code.
  • Participate in design and planning sessions and provide time and scope estimates.
  • Provide system specific support as required, both during the standard work day and after-hours and weekends as required.
  • Think creatively, work collaboratively, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need:

  • 3-5 years hands-on experience
  • Functional knowledge of design patterns, application architecture, and industry standard coding practices
  • Practical experience with ASP.NET 3.5+ using C# inside Visual Studio 2015+
  • Experience with some or all of: WebForms, MVC using Razor, WebAPI, HTML5, Angular.js and bootstrap, TypeScript
  • Experience with WCF/SOAP-based services as well as REST/JSON-based services. OData (v4) experience a plus.
  • Practical experience with MS SQL Server (2014+) including writing queries, and building tables, views, and stored procedures.
  • Basic understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Messaging Oriented Architecture (MOA)
  • Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS), specifically source control and work item tracking is a plus, but the concept of and understanding why a source code repository tools are used is required.
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Temperamental fit to fast-paced, changing environment tight deadlines and shifting, high-pressure situations.
  • Any of the following earn you extra points:
    • Java Swing
    • MongoDB or similar NoSQL based platforms
    • RabbitMQ
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
    • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • Entity Framework 6+
