EUS Technician II

Job Summary

The End User Services technician will provide technical assistance to computer system users and investigate and resolve phone, computer software, hardware and peripheral problems of users.  The role also includes installation, configuration and maintenance of PC desktop, phone and peripheral equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Engineering of SA related solutions for various project and operational needs*
  • Responding to requests for IT support, logging problems, generating trouble tickets, attempting to diagnose and resolve problems and if necessary, escalating the problem.
  • Install new/rebuild existing and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures* 
  • Contributes to and maintain system standards*
  • Researches and recommends innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks* Identifies approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale*
  • Works with Human Resources and Managers to create, change, and delete user accounts*
  • Repairs and recovers from hardware or software failures and coordinates and communicates impacted constituencies*
  • Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning*
  • Performs on-going performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configures CPU memory, and disk partitions as required*
  • Regularly participates in meetings and is dependable as an internal/external resource on assigned projects* 
  • Performs deployments for applications and services through environments.  
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
  • Excellent knowledge of desktop and hardware installation, configuration and management
  • Hands on experience with Windows Operating Systems and desktop applications
  • Working knowledge of Printers and other peripheral devices
  • Effective communication skills, written, oral, and listening
  • Strong internal client service skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Must be able to work independently and as an effective team member
